A short note to remind you about two RSGB contests this summer.


JUBILEE CONTEST 2002

This celebrates Queen Elizabeth's 50th anniversary, and will be a
good opportunity to make interesting QSOs around the world.  
Many Commonwealth stations will be on the air, from great DX
locations.

1000z-1000z, 8-9 June 2002
3.5, 7, 14, 21, 28 MHz CW, SSB, mixed

Contact Commonwealth stations, send RS(T) and serial number.  5
points per contact, multiplier is the total of Commonwealth call
areas on all bands.

Attractive certificates for entrants who work 50 or more band call
areas.  Top score from each country will receive a certificate (>100
QSOs).

RSGB IOTA CONTEST 2002

Many islands and DXCC countries will be activated for this event,
which is has grown into one of the major contests of the calendar.  
Entrants can be from an island or a continent, with awards in
several categories.

1200z-1200z, 27-28 July 2002
3.5, 7, 14, 21, 28 MHz CW, SSB, mixed

Contact any station.  Island: 15 points, non-island: 3 points, send
RS(T), serial number & IOTA reference (if island).
Multiplier is IOTA references per band/mode.
12-hour section -- an interesting tactical challenge, fits in with
family activities.
