지난해 새로운 DXCC entity로 인정이 된 Ducie섬 (OC-182, WAZ 32, ITU 63)의 두번째의 expedition 소식입니다. 지난해 11월 시도 되었던 첫번째의 시도가 무산됨에 따라 실제로는 이번 시도가 첫 번째의 expedition이 되는 셈입니다.
운용자는 VP6TC, VP6DB, VP6AZ, VP6MW, VP6BK/JA1BK, JF1IST, K9AJ, K5VT 그리고 N9TK이며, 3월 12일 French Polynesia의 Mangareva항을 출발하여 Pitcairn 섬에 잠시 들렀다가 1 주일간의 운용을 위해서 Ducie 섬으로 갈 예정이라고 합니다. VP6 프리픽스로 운용할 예정이며 호출부호는 운용의 시작과 함께 공지 할 것이라고 하는군요.
운용이 될 band는 15 m (21020, 21295 kHz), 10 m (28495 kHz), 20 m (14020, 14195 kHz), 6 m의 prime 주파수이며, Low band와 WARC band는 아마도 마지막 날에 운용이 될 것이며, 또한 RTTY 운용도 기대를 해 보라는군요.

The Pitcairn Island Amateur Radio Association's second attempt to activate
Ducie Island (OC-182, WAZ 32, ITU 63) [425DXN 555] is confirmed to take place
within a few days. The operators will be VP6TC, VP6DB, VP6AZ, VP6MW,
VP6BK/JA1BK, JF1IST, K9AJ, K5VT and N9TK.
The group will leave Mangareva (French Polynesia) on 12 March; they will stop
at Pitcairn and then go on to Ducie for a week's operation with a VP6
callsign to be announced at the beginning of the activity.
Two stations will operate on 15 metres CW (21020 kHz) and SSB (21295 kHz) 24
hours a day; two other stations will activate other bands, with 28495, 14195
and 14020 kHz as other prime frequencies. An additional station will be
active on 6 metres. Low band and WARC operations are more likely to take
place in the last days of the operation, as the initial emphasis will be to
allow as many operators as possible to work this new DXCC Entity. Some
activity is expected on RTTY as well.
WA2MOE and JE2EHP will be the pilot stations for the DXpedition. QSL via
