캐나다의 HAM 소식입니다
오늘 E-mail을 받은 내용입니다.
캐나다도 운전중 손전화(Cell Phone)나 기타 무전기를 사용하지 못하도록 법령을 제정중인데, 아마추어의무선도 포함된다는 보도가 있었습니다.
캐나다에서는 햄 오퍼레이터가 비상통신에 많은 역할을 하고 평소에도 각 지방에 있는 단체별로 자주 활동하고 있습니다. 그렇게 되면 비상시 통신활동에 특히 자동차운행중 통신을 할수 없다면 비상통신에 지장이 많겠지요..
많은 분들이 햄의 활동은 은 제외되도록 노력한 결과 아직 공표는 않됐지만, 이번 법제정시 아마츄어무선은 제외된다는 소식이 왔습니다...
앞으로 한국에서도 유사한 경우가 있으면 참고 할수 있도록 알려드립니다..

We have been advised, informally, that Amateur Radio will be exempt
from the Distracted Driver’s Legislation. This is a huge win for
Amateur Radio.
I would like to thank those of you that talked to your MLA’s, your
Served Agencies and other government organizations that Amateur Radio
provides services and volunteers to. We have had significant support
from Emergency Management BC, PEP, and many of the organizations that
we all support. Your professionalism and dedication to our hobby, and
what we can do to support emergency communications, has been
recognized. I would like to thank you all for your efforts.
We will still need to wait for the official word, but this is
outstanding news, and I am highly confident that this will become law.
Thank you all – in particular those of you that took the time to
write or call me, and threw your support behind Radio Amateurs of
Canada and the approach that we were advocating.
